Bloemfontein

banner bloemfontein

Bloemfontein is the capital city of the Free State of South-Africa. The population consists of 256,185 people. Bloemfontein literally means ‘fountain of flowers’ in Dutch. It was officially founded in 1846 as a fort by the British Army.

Our good friend Isaia is a priest in Kraaifontein who has now set up his business in Bloemfontein and the rest of Free State, where he has been born. From an old factory hall, he supplies Educare centres and individual customers with stoves and pellets, give people not only an alternative means for cooking but also a nice and warm house in the coled winters of Free State.
